A stunning antique William IV rosewood open bookcase. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840 period.
It is a very impressive size with an inverted breakfront design in three sections. It is of outstanding quality and has lots of storage space.
There are adjustable shelves, this sits on a plinth base, it has high quality scrolled corbels at the top and bottom corners. The middle section is flanked by two neoclassical columns, the rosewood grain patterns and colour tones are gorgeous throughout.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is some minor historical wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
