An interesting and very well made Art Deco period spice rack. This was made in the Netherlands in the 1930’s.
It is a beautiful and very practical item, perfect for use in the kitchen. It has a solid birch frame, shaped in the typical Art Deco style. There are six large ceramic drawers and seven smaller ceramic drawers along the lower edge. The clock face and door front are also ceramic, all have gorgeous green touches and are labelled in Dutch for various herbs, spices and condiments. The cabinet door in the centre opens to reveal storage for eggs complete with egg racks.
The condition is fantastic for its age, the wood had been cleaned and given a fresh oil polish. All the ceramic is intact and in excellent condition, the clock is also in good working order.
