This antique Art Nouveau mahogany display cabinet dating from the 1890’s period, was bought from Liberty in 1991 for £2750 & we still have the original receipt which we have show in one of the images.
It’s totally original & still in very good condition, right down to the inside lining, which does show some impressed marking.
The central inlaid design is magnificent & is composed of many exotic woods in all sorts of patterns which are clearly influenced by the Art Nouveau period. Please enlarge that particular feature to appreciate all the fabulous details. There are many other nice features on this cabinet, like the dental moulding, the little shaped cut outs all over, the top super structure & the bottom ledge.
It’s a very made piece of furniture & practicable too.
