A superb antique Edwardian chest of drawers in walnut. This was made in England by Waring & Gillow & dates from around the 1890-1910 period.
The quality is absolutely amazing and this has a very useful design. It is tall and slim, offering lots of storage space while not taking up much floor space. The drawers fronts have stunning burr walnut grain patterns and are cross banded with figured walnut. This sits on short and sturdy cabriole legs, and has canted corners with herringbone inlay. The top is book matched figured walnut, and this has solid oak lined drawers with fine hand cut dovetailed joints.
The drawers are also graduated in depth, with original brass handles, escutcheons & locks. The locks have Waring & Gillow engraved on them.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout.
