A fantastic antique Chippendale style mahogany leather top desk in the Chippendale style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is very well made, sitting on beautiful cabriole legs with shell carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet. The top has a gadrooned edge and lovely inset tooled leather writing surface. It’s also extra deep, providing plenty of work space. There is lots of storage space in the five generous drawers, this has a nicely finished back so can be used as a free standing item.

We have just had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor old wear here and there beneath the polish.
