This antique Victorian upholstery settee has a curved back & a kidney shaped front edge. It dates from around the 1890 period & is in excellent condition, having just been re-polished & re-upholstered in our regular cream natural cotton linen fabric.
The wood is predominately mahogany, with some exquisite satinwood inlays on the front of the arms, on the legs & in many other places. The central back panel has some beautiful floral marquetry of many exotic woods on a rosewood background. The legs sit on the original porcelain casters.
It’s a very elegant piece of furniture, with a sturdy frame & a fully sprung seat.
