A stunning antique French bureau plat desk made from various woods. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

It is of superb quality, with a wonderful shape & fine gilt bronze mounts throughout. There is a single drawer at the front, with compartments, the back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. It is predominantly made from rosewood & Kingwood, with gorgeous floral marquetry of various fruit woods.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some very minor wear and tiny historical marks beneath the polish here and there.
