A stunning original antique French bureau plat desk. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.

The quality is amazing, this has beautiful geometric inlaid parquetry veneers all over the top and sides. There are high quality ormolu gilt metal mounts, this is very nicely finished on the back as well, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently French polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are just a few very minor marks and old sign of wear beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
