A stunning and very impressive antique French Louis XV style desk, which I would date from around the 1930-50’s period.

The quality is superb, this is very well made with lots of intricate details. There are fine quality gilt bronze ormolou mounts all over, and this is made of a beautiful combination of woods. There appears to be walnut, rosewood and king wood, all beautifully contrasting. The leather top is gold tooled and has just some minor signs of surface wear. This is beautifully finished on all sides with dummy drawers on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
