A superb antique breakfront bookcase in the Georgian style. This was made in England, it dates from around 1900-1920.
The quality is outstanding, with gorgeous astral glazing on the upper doors and beautiful satin wood inlay around the doors and drawers of the lower section. There is brass trim on the upper doors and original brass handles. This comes with four locking keys, the interior has adjustable shelves. The drawers and interior are solid oak lined with fine dovetailed joints, this is very well built and heavy.
It is a very useful size, it’s not too large and imposing, while offering lots of storage space.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. The top comes off and this comes apart in two pieces for ease of transport.
