A very large and impressive antique leather, brass and mahogany fireplace fender. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.
This is much larger than the usual models seen, it is of outstanding quality. The green leather upholstered seating area is deep buttoned and has a gorgeous patina. The brass work is also of very fine quality, this sits on a stepped solid mahogany base.
We have had the leather hand coloured and revived by our leather restorer, the mahogany has been polished and the brass has been gently cleaned up. the condition is excellent for its age, with various historical small marks and bumps here and there beneath the polish, adding to the patina and charm.
