A wonderful set of antique mahogany library steps with leather tops. They were made in England, and date from around the 1950’s.
These versatile and quirky steps are always popular, they are great for the intended use of reaching high shelves. They also make beautiful decorative items and can even be used as side tables or plant stands.
This is of excellent quality, the solid mahogany frame sits on brass casters and has a brass finial at the top. The red leather surfaces are gold tooled and have a lovely patina.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
