A beautiful antique writing desk in mahogany, also known as a bonheur du jour. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930-50’s.

It is in the classic Regency style, with gorgeous harp shaped sides to the base, reeded sabre legs and brass hairy paw feet. There is a lovely inset green leather writing surface with two drawers beneath, and the back gallery contains lots more additional storage. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
