This is a very fine example of an antique Colonial military campaign chest of drawers in teak, dating to around the 1830’s, with original turned sunken handles, which are quite a rare feature on these models.
It’s in very good original condition, with a superb colour & patina. All the drawers work well & have locks. It has brass corner mounts & iron carrying handles. Like most of these campaign chests, it lifts apart into two sections & sits on bun feet.
This chest of drawers has plenty of character, nice small proportions, a lovely grain to the wood & is structurally sound. Please enlarge all the images.
