An excellent antique Victorian pedestal desk in walnut, this was made in England and date from around the 1860-1880 period.
The quality is outstanding, this is so very well made and is a useful size. The top edges, drawer fronts have stunning burr walnut grain patterns, the rest is solid walnut. The inset leather top is faded black and gold tooled. The desk is also nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
All the drawers are graduated in depth, with locks & fine dovetails. This desk has casters under the plinths & it separates into three sections for easy transportation.
We have just had this revived & polished, it is in excellent condition for its age & has a gorgeous colour with lots of character.
