A gorgeous antique Victorian armchair in solid beech wood with a caned seat. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.
It is of lovely proportions and is extremely well made. The arms sweep down beautifully and seamlessly into the legs, which are beautifully turned. The legs are held together by six stretchers for stability, the back rest is beautifully carved and pierced in the middle.
We have given this a clean and gentle wax polish, the condition is excellent for its age, with normal signs of historical wear and patina. The cane is all in excellent order.
