A superb antique Victorian leather captains chair, made in England and dating from around the 1860-1880 period.
It is of incredibly fine quality, with gorgeous light green leather upholstery and a solid mahogany frame. The spindles on the back rest and the legs are finely turned and fluted, the legs sit on brass casters.
This is a great size to be used as a generous desk chair or as an occasional armchair / library chair.
We have had the leather hand coloured and revived by our leather restorer, the mahogany has also been re-polished. The condition is excellent with a gorgeous all round patina.
