Extremely rare Antique early Victorian deep buttoned leather ‘conversation sofa’, dating from around the 1840-60 period, in good condition. The frame is walnut, with a fluted central column & more fluted columns under the arms. The matching turned, fluted legs have brass capped casters. The walnut frame has had a gentle polish & has a great original look, with plenty of character. The upholstery is magnificent. It’s deep buttoned, hand tacked, hand polished & again has loads of character. Please take a good enlarged look at all the images to appreciate this piece. It’s quite small in proportion, so check the dimensions. This is a fabulous piece of furniture & I don’t think it will hang around for long.
