This large Victorian mahogany chest of drawers is a real character piece & has a lovely rich original colour. It’s of high quality with deep drawers that all work well & the bottom drawer is extra deep, because it’s attached to the plinth base. The top is solid mahogany & that mark in the wood on the top left hand side is a completely natural part of the grain. This chest of drawers is free from any bad splits or warps. There are various old markings on the surfaces, which are all normal for an item which is about 150 years old. We don’t believe in making our items look new. All the drawers are graduated in depth, finely dovetailed, with locks & mahogany bun handles.
