A charming antique Victorian mahogany leather top writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is very well made and is a lovely size. It sits on turned solid turned and fluted mahogany legs, the drawers have beautifully turned mahogany handles. The drawers also have fine hand cut dovetailed joints, the top edges are nicely moulded and this has a gorgeous inset leather top that has been hand coloured and gold tooled.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are various small marks and indentations beneath the polish, commensurate for age and adding to the lovely patina.
