A fabulous antique Victorian period writing table in solid mahogany. This was made in England by Johnstone & Jeanes & dates from the 1860-1880’s period.

The quality is absolutely superb, this is extremely well made and heavy for its size. There are dividers in the drawers and the makers mark is also stamped on the drawer edge.

This has an inset hand coloured and gold tooled leather top. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing piece. The legs and handles are beautifully turned, this sits on original brass casters which are also of fine quality.

We have recently had this re-polished & it is in excellent condition for its age.
