A smart and very useful antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is very well made and is a very useful size, not too deep from front to back. The inset leather writing surface is hand coloured and gold tooled, this sits on beautifully turned legs. The drawers also have nicely turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various very small marks here and there remaining beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
