A charming antique Victorian mahogany writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

It is very well made and is a lovely petite size. It sits on turned solid mahogany legs and also has two beautifully turned mahogany handles. The drawer has fine hand cut dovetailed joints, this has a gorgeous inset leather top that has been hand coloured and gold tooled.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are various small marks and indentations beneath the polish, commensurate for age and adding to the lovely patina.
