This is a very impressive large antique William IV rosewood table in excellent condition & it dates to the 1830-40’s period.
It has a tooled Burgundy leather inset top which was on this table when we obtained it, which is in very good condition. This gives it a look of a large drum table. However, it could be used as a dining table too. The top is very stable & it can be flipped up or taken off for easy transportation. There is a rosewood banding surrounding the leather & a rosewood frieze below that. The central column sits on a platform base with the typical William IV circular moulding & more carvings on the scroll end feet, which have concealed brass casters underneath.
This table is a high quality heavy weight item of furniture, free from warps & splits.
