Pair of antique walnut armchairs upholstered in distressed leather, with carved eagle heads on the swept out arms. These armchairs are full of character within the wood & leather. They also have a great shape, with burr walnut below the seats plus ball & claw feet. The leather is all in good condition, with no splits or tears & it’s hand tacked all over. These chairs are very sturdy, comfortable & of quite small proportions (see measurements). There is a slight difference between the two chairs in height & width, but being hand made that is quite normal. I would say they date to around the 1890 period, but it’s hard to be accurate, because they are a model I’ve never come across before.
