A fantastic pair of antique side chairs in carved solid mahogany. They were made in continental Europe, possibly Denmark, or somewhere close and they are quite early, dating from around the 1790-1820 period, or even earlier.

The quality is outstanding, they have gorgeous and intricate carving depicting eagles heads on the backs, the legs are also beautifully carved.

We have had them re-polished and re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, retaining the original horse hair stuffing. The condition is excellent for their age.
