Large pair of antique military campaign style mahogany bookcases in excellent condition & dating from around the 1950’s period. They have plenty of character & some fine features, like the brass corner fittings & brass military handles. The top two cupboards are astral-glazed & there are two bookshelves inside which can be adjusted in height. The top of the base sections have chamfered sections, which you can just make out if you enlarge the images. There are three drawers in the middle & the centre drawer pulls out to reveal a tooled leather writing surface. The bottom cupboards have two panelled doors with plenty of extra storage inside. It’s quite rare to find a pair of these & they would work very well in an alcove either side of a fireplace.
