A stunning pair of antique Swedish satin birch armchairs in the Biedermeier style. They were recently imported from Sweden, and they date from around the 1890-1900 period.

The quality is outstanding, they are extremely well made and are a very useful size. They are elegant yet sturdy, with beautiful satin birch grain patterns throughout. The Trafalgar backs are beautifully shaped, they have nicely carved lower back rests and scrolled arm rests.

We have had these re-polished and the seats have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age.
