A lovely set of 10 antique mahogany shield back dining chairs in the Hepplewhite style. They were made in England, and they date from around the 1930-50’s.

The quality is excellent and it is hard to find a run of ten in this model. There are eight identical chairs, one side chair and one carver chair are very slightly different and have been matched. The difference is hardly noticeable at all, to demonstrate we have shown a the pair of the carvers together and a pair of side chairs together, so you can see the very minor differences.

We have had the chairs re-polished and the drop in seats have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is very good for their age, with only some extremely minor wear remaining here and there beneath the polish.
