A fantastic set of eight antique mahogany shield back dining chairs. They were made in England, they date from around the 1900-1910 period.
The quality is outstanding and the mahogany has acquired a gorgeous patina over the years. They have pierced shield back rests with wheat sheaf motifs, they stand on beautiful cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet.
We have had them re-polished and the drop in seats have been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age.
