A wonderful original antique bentwood hatstand / coat rack by Thonet. This was made in central Europe in Austria, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.

It is a fantastic and very unusual model, with a very well made metal tray base. It has six beautifully curved supports on the top for coats and hats, the base is designed to support umbrellas and walking sticks.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent overall condition for its age.
