A beautiful and impressive antique bentwood hatstand. This was most likely made in Austria by Thonet, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

It is of great quality, with a broad and sturdy base. The bentwood frame is wonderfully designed, this is a very useful and great looking item. The top section revolves and is also removable.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age, with plenty of charm and patina.

This is not one of those flimsy examples & it’s free from damage & repairs.
