1960’s Antique Georgian Style Mahogany Console Table
Item Description
Very long solid mahogany console side table in mahogany, with a very unusual top which looks like stone, but isn’t. The top must have been made with the rest of the table & it is fixed on. It was made to look like marble or some kind of stone & there is some natural wear to it. It does look great on the table & I’ve never come across this sort of thing before.
This table is antique Georgian in style with many nice features. There is a carved urn with swags in the middle, carved rosettes on all the corners & grooving all around the top frieze.
The bold tapered reeded legs culminate with strong spade end feet. The table is a very strong looking piece, with a serpentine shaped front & it’s a superb quality item. There is also a generous overhang on the back, to compensate for any skirting boards.
Width – 66.2″, 168 cm
Depth – 24.8″, 63 cm
Height – 32.7″, 83 cm
