A very large and extremely impressive original George III mahogany side table, with a concaved front. This was made in England, it dates from around 1790’s period.
This is of amazing quality with absolutely wonderful inlaid satin wood details around the edges, and a beautifully cross banded top. There are dummy drawers and escutcheons on the sides, the drawers have lovely detailed brass handles and are solid oak lined with fine hand cut dovetailed joints. This is very wide, and sits on wonderful long tapered legs.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in very good condition for its age, while retaining plenty of character and patina. There are various small marks beneath the polish and some historical repairs to the surface of the top veneers, which are around 250 years old.
