A wonderful George III period inlaid mahogany side table. This was made in England, it dates from around 1790’s.
It is beautifully made and is a useful size, siting on elegant tapered legs. The reeded octagonal top has a drawer in the front and is nicely finished on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item. There is inlaid satin wood banding on the top and sides, the mahogany has acquired an absolutely gorgeous patina.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is very good for its age with no damage to be seen. There are various small marks and signs of historical wear beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
