A superb antique Georgian style console / side table in pollard oak. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1950’s. It comes under the category of “Ipswich Oak”, which is well known in the trade to be the best quality hand made furniture out there.

It is of exceptional quality, with solid oak construction and stunning burr oak veneers on the edges. There are high quality brass handles, this has lovely shell carving at the knees, grooved canted corners and panelled sides. The drawer bottoms are solid oak with tongue & groove joints.

We have had this cleaned up and re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.

This table has wonderful proportions, being long & slim in depth.
