A smart and very functional antique yew wood sideboard in the Georgian style. This was made in England, it dates from the 1950’s.
This is a very useful size, fairly low and compact with lots of storage space. It’s the perfect height and depth to serve as a useful console table. The breakfront design contains a central bank of drawers and a drawer on either side above grill fronted doors. It sits on bracket feet and has a cross banded top, with stunning yew wood grain patterns throughout.
We have had this revived and re-polished, the fabric behind the grill front doors has been replaced with a new light grey silk. The condition is excellent for its age, with a few small marks and bumps here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
