An amazing solid mahogany extending dining table in the antique Chippendale style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.
It is of excellent quality, so well built and very heavy. The solid mahogany top has a gorgeous colour and lovely grain patterns. It has a carved gadrooned edge, and this comes with an extra leaf to extend the dining area to seat around 10-12 people.
The top sits on two solid mahogany tripod bases which have cabriole legs, and claw and ball feet. The top can detach from the two bases for ease of transport.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in great condition for its age. There is just some extremely minor wear and old marks beneath the polish here and there.
