Very rare & high quality pair of antique George III console side tables in excellent original condition & dating to around the 1790’s period, with exceptional colour & patina. The tops are flame mahogany & have finely carved top edges. The front friezes have intricate applied carvings & the tapered legs have carved rope edges. These tables have good proportions & the top of the legs just flow into the front friezes, instead of just looking like they have been plonked on. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details, because I don’t think you will find a nicer pair on the market right now. Yes, there are plenty of pairs of basic Georgian consoles for ?750 to ?1500, but none of this quality & design.
