A superb antique Victorian burr walnut occasional table of the utmost quality. This was made in England, it dates from the 1860-1880 period.
It is extremely well made and is a useful size to be used in various settings. The oval top has magnificent burr walnut grain patterns and a gorgeous colour. There is extremely fine inlay around the edges of the top, including some Tunbridge Ware work, enlarge the images to see the level of minute intricacy. This table also still has the finely shaped top & bottom finials. This must have been executed by an absolutely top level craftsman. It sits on a beautifully carved solid walnut base and sits on original porcelain casters.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age, with a lovely patina.
