This antique Victorian pedestal desk is solid oak & is designed a bit different from the usual model. It has a lovely golden oak colour & is in excellent condition having just been polished. The leather writing surface is hand coloured with a tooled edge & has loads of character. There are three drawers on the top with fine dovetails, original locks & handles. The pedestals have panelled cupboards on the fronts & also on the sides. The back too is panelled & polished. This desk is a good size with a generous kneehole space & it lifts apart into three sections for easy transportation. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the details & quality. I would date this desk to around the 1880’s period.
