Antique Leather Wing Back Armchair

This antique deep buttoned leather wing back armchair has a wonderful shape & original colour. It’s in excellent condition & has aged beautifully. Our leather specialist has just revived & polished the leather, so bringing out all the various shades of colours within. It has a deep buttoned back & seat cushion & the leather is hand tacked all over the frame. This armchair is also very comfortable due to the slope on the back & it also has good head support, due to the high hump back. The wings are also nicely shaped. This chair sits on strong mahogany legs which have extra support from the cross stretchers between. This is a very fine looking armchair & it’s getting harder to find single leather wing armchairs of this calibre. I would date it to around the 1910 period.

Antique distressed painted wrought iron garden seat, two matching chairs & table. The seat & chairs have quite an unusual style & I can’t quite work out the age or country of origin. We took them out of a garden from a London residence along with an amount of furniture we also purchased. They were in this condition. They are structurally sound, but do ned to have new seats made & I should imagine a glass top for the table.

Antique Victorian Style Mahogany & Leather Captains Desk Chair

Antique Victorian style leather & mahogany swivel desk chair in good original condition from the 1950’s period. This chair has a scrolled over curved deep buttoned leather back, leather arms & seat, which are also deep buttoned. All the leather is the original colour, with no tears or holes & it’s hand tacked onto the frame. The feet have brass claw capped casters. There is a rise & fall mechanism, plus a tilt mechanism.

Antique Victorian Solid Elm Captains Chair

Antique Victorian elm captains armchair in good condition & stable. It’s stable because of the excellent construction & the turned ‘H’ stretchers between the legs. It’s also comfortable because of the curved back & shaped out seat. This chair has swept out arms with beautifully turned rails below & turned legs. I would date it to around the 1860-80’s period. These chairs also work well as desk chairs & can also take a loose seat cushion if needed.

Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Love Seat Settee

This very attractive settee would sit well in many places in the home, including a bedroom. It’s antique early Victorian, possible William IV. dating to around 1840-60’s & solid walnut, with fabulous floral carvings. The upholstery is good & is as we obtained it. It has a wonderful shape & is quite small. The carvings are superb are the sides & legs which sit on the original porcelain casters. It’s in good condition & structurally sound.

Antique French Louis Style Walnut Armchair

They compliment each other very well & the material colour is a bit different I think. They have both recently been re-upholstered very professionally, with single cord piping & are in excellent condition. The walnut frames are beautifully carved all over & on the tops of the legs. I would date them to around the 1930-50’s period.

Pair of Antique Swedish Satin Birch Armchairs

Very stylish pair of Swedish antique Satin Birch armchairs that have just been fully re-upholstered in a cream fabric. They are in excellent condition, having just been French polished & I would date them to around the 1910 period, or perhaps a little bit earlier. These chairs have very generous proportions & beautifully shaped polished frames. I particularly like the wide curved arms with the subtle carving below. The satin birch is also a lovely blond colour. I suppose they are very much Biedermeier style.

Pair of Swedish Satin Birch Art Deco Armchairs

Magnificent pair of original Swedish Art Deco armchairs in excellent condition dating from the 1930’s period. They have just come over from Sweden, been polished & re-upholstered in a natural cream linen fabric & in the same design as before. Antique Swedish Leather & Brass Reclining Armchair & Stool

This very stylish, functional & comfortable reclining leather armchair with matching footstool has just come over from Sweden & I would date it to around the 1960’s period. It’s all original cream leather, hand studded, in good condition & I particularly like the brass cap ends on the feet. The best feature is undoubtably the brass adjustable ratchet that allows different reclining angles.

Pair of Antique Swedish Satin Birch Armchairs

These are one of the nicest pairs of Swedish antique Biedermeier armchairs I've had. The wood is satin birch & is a wonderful blond colour. They have Trafalgar backs, scroll over arms, wide newly upholstered seats & sit on sabre legs. There is a fine carved ebonised carving attached to the back & ebonised borbells on top of the legs. These armchairs are Biedermeier or Empire style & date from around the 1890's period or possibly earlier. They have just come over from Sweden, been French polished & re-upholstered, so are in excellent condition.
