A magnificent and rarely seen original Art Deco period cocktail cabinet in burr walnut, this was designed and made by Harry & Lou Epstein in the 1930’s. It is of amazing quality, with stunning walnut veneers and beautiful floral carving. The doors are fluted and the interior is sycamore lined, with an internal cabinet, drawers, mirrored slide and shelves. We have had recently had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.

Antique Swedish Marble Top Secretaire£1,500.00 + VAT
This antique Swedish marble top Secretaire is a great looking piece of furniture, top quality & is in excellent condition. It’s neoclassical style & has some fabulous decorations. The pull down front has some fine marquetry of a cherub playing a musical instrument, plus decorative swags. The wood is mainly kingwood & satin birch, however there are other woods too. The marble top is original & in good condition. There are some fine quality gilt bronze mounts & escutcheons. This piece has two drawers above & below the pull down section. When opened the inside writing section is magnificent with many drawers & a single cupboard in the middle. I can’t decide whether it looks better open or closed. The tapered legs too are satin birch, with kingwood cross banding. I would date this cabinet to around the 1890-1910 period. The attention to detail the cabinet maker has used in making this product is amazing. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details.

Antique French Ormolu Mounted Display Cabinet£975.00 + VAT
Antique French style mahogany & kingwood display cabinet with lots of gilt metal mounts & three decorative scenes on the bottom. It has curved glass & the inside has blue velvet lining. This cabinet has nice slim proportions & we have a working key for the door. The condition is very good & I would date it to around the 1950's period.

Antique Satinwood Bookcase by Howard & Sons£2,200.00 + VAT
This satinwood breakfront dwarf bookcase was made by 'Howard & Sons' of London, so of course it's of the finest quality. Their label is on the back & so is their stamp impressed into the wood next to it (see images). It's in excellent original condition & I would date it to around the 1910 period. The shelves are all adjustable & the inside is lined with fabric, so although this was probably designed as a bookcase, it could easily be used as a display cabinet. Please enlarge all the images to see the all the beautiful hand painted details, which are a work of art in themselves. There are abundant floral details, neoclassical details & many colours including gilt work too. The wood is predominately satinwood & my polisher thinks the mouldings are olive wood. This cabinet has lovely small proportions & there are so many intricate details that you need to enlarge all the images to appreciate them. I particularly like the the quality of the painted flowers & the curved fluted columns topped with the acanthus leaf decoration.

Antique Georgian Style Mahogany Cocktail Cabinet£575.00 + VAT
Antique George III style mahogany cocktail drinks cabinet in good condition & dating from the 1950's period. It has two flame mahogany panelled doors on top with two drawers beneath. The legs are tapered & have spade end feet. The inside of the cupboard is well fitted out with a mirrored back, base & a pull out slide for serving drinks on. There are glass holders on the inside of the doors & also a light inside, which will need to be checked & probably re-wired for safety reasons.

Antique French Kingwood commode chest of small proportions with some intricate floral marquetry on the top, sides & the drawer fronts. It also has gilt bronze mounts, feet & handles. There's cross banding on the top edge in a lighter wood & more cross bandings on the drawers & the sides. It's in good condition & has just been french polished. This chest would be very useful as a side table in a hall or living room & I would date it to around the 1920's. While the majority of the wood is kingwood, there are many other woods involved, especially within the marquetry.

Antique French Burr Walnut Marble Top Cabinet£1,650.00 + VAT
This antique French marble top cabinet is fabulous quality, in great condition & has some great features. It's mainly burr walnut on the front & the sides, with figured walnut & kingwood bandings, plus some satinwood inlays. There are gilt bronze mounts all over, including some very prominent neoclassical mounts on the front sides. The gilt bronze mounts are exceptional quality & have natural wear to the gilt, which gives them a nice original look. The marble top is original & the feet are turned & fluted, with more gilt mounts. The drawer has gilt handles & a lock. The cupboard is well polished inside & also has a lock. Antique Sheraton style mahogany sideboard in excellent condition & dating from about the 1950's period. It has a serpentine shaped front with dummy drawers on either side that are really cupboards & a proper drawer in the middle. There's fine satinwood inlays around the top edge, on the front & down the tapered legs. The drawers are also cross banded. The middle drawer has partitions, is baize lined & has a lock.

Pair of antique Georgian style mahogany corner cabinets with concaved fronts. It's nice to find a pair & in such nice condition. They date from around the 1950's period & have just been French polished. These corner cabinets have two astral-glazed doors on the top sections & two deeper flame mahogany panelled doors on the bottom sections. They have dental mouldings on the tops & sit on bracket feet.

Antique Queen Anne Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet£1,190.00 + VAT
This antique Queen Anne style walnut cocktail drinks cabinet is very fine quality & in good original condition. It has a lovely mellow colour & is beautifully carved on the top, plus around the legs, which have claw & ball feet. The four doors have carved corner burr walnut panels & very decorative etched brass escutcheons. The sides of this cabinet are figured walnut & it has canted corners. The inside top section is beautiful & very practicable. It's sycamore lined, with a mirrored back & bottom. There is also a light fitting inside, which would probably need re-wiring. There is also a pull out slide inset with a mirror which is meant for serving drinks on. I believe the bottom cupboard was meant for storing bottles in. This drinks cabinet is one of the nicest I've come across & dates to around the 1920's period.

Antique Swedish Kingwood display cabinet of exceptional quality & in the manner of Louis XVI, neoclassical in style. This cabinet is predominately Kingwood & Rosewood, with inlaid panels & some intricate marquetry. It has gilt bronze mounts, handles & feet. There are some lovely features too, like the drawer at the top & the pull down bottom flap revealing six slim drawers & more marquetry. There are two glass shelves inside the display section & it’s lined on the back with fabric. This display cabinet is in excellent condition & I would date it to around the 1930’s period.

Small antique French marble top cabinet with many different woods involved. It's predominately mahogany & kingwood, however there are many other more exotic woods set into it in the form of inlays, parquetry & marquetry. This cabinet is all in good condition including the marble top. The gilt bronze mounts are very good quality & I particularly like the rams heads mounts on the tops. The floral marquetry panels have a great pattern too. This piece dates to around the 1920's period & is fine quality.
