A lovely antique Neoclassical Empire style mahogany open bookcase, dating from around the 1930’s period.

The quality is fantastic, it is a very useful size. It has a reeded top edge and reeded tapered side columns, topped with gilt bronze faces. The shelves have reeded fronts and this is also polished inside. The is lovely gilt bronze ormolu in the centre of the top frieze, the top has cross banded edges.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age, with just some minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.
