A superb antique Edwardian canteen of cutlery by Philip Ashbury and sons. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.

The cutlery is of amazing quality, as is the brass inlaid cabinet that houses it. The game and meat carver sets, as well as the table knives and dessert knives are stainless steel, the rest of the items are all silver plate.

This consists of a 161 piece set, including a full dinner service set for twelve, as well as game and meat carvers, egg spoons, tea spoons, knife rests, mustard spoons, salt spoons, sauce ladles, sugar tongs, soup ladle, and fish carvers. It is beautifully set in a green felt interior, with a green felt lined drawer beneath. The top can lift right off the base to be moved around easily.

The condition is excellent for its age, with some minor wear here and there. We have revied and cleaned where possible, the minor historical wear on the wooden case is seen in the images.
