Pair of antique French style marble top side tables embellished with gilt bronze mounts & painted panels. They are in excellent original condition, with plenty of character & they date from around the 1930-50’s period. There are pierced gilt metal galleries around the tops, with one drawer on each & second tiers below. The wood is mahogany, kingwood & satinwood in the inlays. These tables are kidney shaped, finished all the way around & they have elegant legs. Please enlarge all the images to see the fine details, especially the gilt mounts & the pained drawer fronts which are different scenes. Please don’t compare these with all the modern cheap reproductions on the market that are coming from the east.
