An absolutely stunning antique French marble top & marquetry bombe commode. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of outstanding quality, the top drawer is stamped Maple & Co, which is where it would have been originally retailed in England.

There are magnificent inlaid designs or various woods all over, and very high quality ormolu mounts throughout. The serpentine shaped marble top is a strikingly beautiful mix of purples, greys and whites.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
