A stunning antique inverted breakfront pedestal desk in walnut, dating from around the 1910-1920’s period.
It is of excellent quality throughout, with a solid walnut construction and beautiful inlaid burr walnut veneers on the drawers fronts. There are lovely original brass handles, finely dovetailed drawer joints and all the drawer fronts are cross banded, plus they are graduated in depth & have locks. The front pedestals have grooved & canted corners. The inset leather top has been gold tooled and hand coloured, it has a gorgeous patina.
This desk is also nicely polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this recently re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
