A magnificent Carlton house desk, beautifully made from Mahogany, leather and brass. This dates from the late 20th century, it was part of a prestigious Althorp collection by Theodore Alexander.

It was inspired by the furniture from Althorp, the Spencer family home since 1508. This is extremely high quality and would have retailed for in the region of £9,000 or more & it has since been discontinued.

It is built on solid wood, with stunning flame mahogany veneers throughout. This has an inset tooled leather top, and exquisite brass handles all over. There is fine quality brass inlay on the sides and down all four sides of each leg. This is in excellent original condition, with only some extremely minor wear here and there.
