A wonderful antique Georgian mahogany leather top writing table / desk. It was made in England, it dates from around the 1800-1820 period.

It is of superb quality and has a lovely, compact design. It stands on beautifully turned legs with brass casters, the drawers have high quality brass handles. There is a gorgeous inset leather writing surface, the mahogany has a beautiful colour tone and patina. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some normal wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there.
